In Subir, Gujarat, AirJaldi, in collaboration with Larsen & Toubro, Microsoft, and the L&T Public Charitable Trust, is building meaningful connectivity where telecom networks had never reached before.

Launched in August 2024, the project established a wireless network drawing its upstream connectivity from a head-end located 50 km away. Today, the network connects 11 schools, a health clinic, a common service centre, private businesses, and homes—bringing the benefits of broadband to entire communities.

But the initiative goes beyond infrastructure. Together with our partners, we are offering technical support, training, and digital learning resources from AirJaldi, Microsoft, and MindSpark. Classrooms are already seeing the impact: teachers now use Smart TVs for online lessons, students access interactive learning materials, and families benefit from reliable connectivity for healthcare and livelihood opportunities.

This is only the beginning. With plans to expand in scope and scale, the project is laying the foundation for a future where every household, school, and business in Gujarat can be part of India’s digital journey.
