I am Satish Kumar Khosla, with over 53 years of work experience in the field of Information Technology. Since 2008, I have been running my own IT consultancy. A remote village Harisal, located in the Indian state of Maharashtra, where access to medical care has always been a challenge for local residents. The Harisal Digital Village Project brought AirJaldi as the Internet Service Provider to the area. Due to the lack of medical facilities in Harisal, patients had to travel for hours to the nearest town to receive treatment. However, with the introduction of telemedicine, they can now consult with a doctor via video call. Doctors can prescribe medication and monitor their patients' progress remotely, eliminating the need to travel long distances for treatment.


The government hospital in Harisal shared how this new development has helped them. They can now easily deliver information at the Talukal and District levels, send and receive it quickly through the internet, and use WhatsApp to relay information in case of connectivity issues. This means that critical cases can be dealt with through video conferencing, and the patient can be referred to the right place for treatment. We can handle a lot of our important work right here, instead of commuting 70-80 Km from Katkumbh. Work related to education, or official reasons.

My name is Ashish Alokar and I run this Setu Kendra (Electronic Services Centre) here at Churni, which is about 70 Km from the Chikhaldara Tehsil.
